Grid2 v1.1.1 - June 2010 Template

Grid2 is a sharp Joomla template with soft gradients that is ideal for a photographer's folio, a magazine or a personal blog. It's built on the Zen Grid Framework and comes with 20 immaculate themes full of texture, colour and finesse. Grid2 also comes ready with a slick new K2 template that is ideal for a magazine or blog.

Enter the Grid.
One of the most striking things about Grid2 (and the original grid for that matter) is the grid layout that you can see on the front page of the demo site. The grid is generated by our free module called captifyContent that is able to pull images from your Joomla section, category, content items as well as images from K2 and the FlexiContent CCK. Captify can create all shapes and sizes of galleries from your content.
20 Presets plus oodles of customisation settings
As you can see from the slideshow above Grid2 comes with an impressive array of preset themes. You can choose between clean and dark, light and textured, light and sharp as well as some of the themes seen in the original Grid design. The customisation settings also allow you to mix and match and create your own styles by giving you access to the theme elements in the template admin. Check out the documentation for more details.
Built on the Zen Grid Framework
Our Zen Grid framework makes it incredibly easy to make layout and colour changes to your site with zero templating or coding knowledge. No more digging into code to adjust the width of an element and logo replacement is a breeze. The new framework also sports a brand new template interface that puts the plethora of Zen Grid parameters into an easy to use and understand user interface.
K2 Template
We are big fans of the K2 component for Joomla and every front end template we have released this year has come replete with a full K2 template. K2 is often described as Joomla 1.6 for Joomla 1.5 but in a nutshell it provides extra functionality that extends the content options and potential for Joomla.
